Standard Books data for your finance model

For Standard Books, we start with your installed version, the required registers and the objects used in reporting. We check which entries and dimensions the finance model needs before choosing the extraction scope.

Status: Previous Power BI experience. Fabric connection scope is established in the finance review.

How does data reach Fabric?

We plan read access to the required registers through the REST API. Accounting transactions, companies and objects must be available for the agreed report.

Which data will we use?

We map the required registers, accounts and objects, and agree how periods, correcting entries and deletions are handled.

What will the output look like?

For example, a management report across agreed accounts and objects, with a budget comparison. We check how later corrections flow through to a period already loaded. Inspect the worked example.

What is checked before implementation?

Excellent documents version and module prerequisites. We check these in your installation, together with permissions, secure access and load limits. A trial extraction checks whether all required ledger data is available.

Your finance team approves account mappings and balances for a sample period. We agree the environment, access and processing boundaries with your IT team. No API keys are needed for the first call.

What needs a separate agreement?

Currency treatment, intercompany eliminations and statutory consolidation. Accounting-system changes, unlimited history and writeback to the source also require separate scope. A management view is not automatically a consolidation solution.

How will you accept the work?

We check balances for the agreed period and entities, report-line mappings and refresh logs. Gaps are recorded before you decide on the next stage. Planning and ongoing management have separately agreed scope.
